I love seeing old people holding hands. I love the laughter of children. It's a wonderful joyful sound that warms my heart. I enjoy photographing people who love each other. If I see a moment thru my lens that brings tears to my eyes... job done. I love emotional photographs that allow one to relive that moment over and over again. A great photograph should make you feel.

From an early age I always knew I would be an artist. I didn't know that talent I was born with would later translate in my twenties into becoming a photographer. I have always enjoyed balancing the curated perfection of editorial style portraiture with the emotional rawness of the real.

Years of shooting lifestyle imagery for large advertising campaigns honed my lighting skills, composition and style. I thrill at seeing a new location for the first time, with fresh eyes. I love to create images that are time enduring and will be appreciated for their intrinsic beauty many years from now.

Each year I journey to some remote location for solo introspection time. I thrill at the beauty of places that are hard to get to. I have been known to go totally off grid to places where tourists are not allowed to be. The challenge of accomplishing something hard reached, something where I can only rely on myself. It is time to grow, time to experience the things that will challenge and inspire me. I believe that the stories we tell define our lives. A life without stories is not truly a life well lived. To truly see, one should experience a place that many dare not go. It is then we discover who we are and what we can push ourselves to do.

This self taught philosophy has helped me find satisfaction in life and success in my art. To push myself beyond the comfortable and experience places and moments that which I feel makes me really truly live.
